You know, there's a few pretty bright spots in (non-sitcomy) animation these days.

The Pixies' signing voices being Redman/Method Man: the greatest cameo in animation history? I would say yes.

Hmm. I assume you haven't gotten passed the hostage situation yet? When you finally get to walk around the streets of Detroit, after screwing around a bit, you'll "get it" - it's a Grand Theft Auto-like concept with FPS/3rd-person shooter twist, once you understand the kind of freedom you get.

That "Batman, save a planet!" line made me think of a question, for you comic book people out there.

Finally began Deus Ex, which is a pretty great game, although I wished they balanced out the lethal points with the non-lethal ones (especially since there's boss fights). You get extra bonuses for non-lethal takedowns and infiltrations - you should get like a killstreak bonus or "WOW" points for awesome kills just as

He'll do the thinnin' 'round here.

Would love to do this - all the requirements fit - but there's no way I can do the (implied unpaid) intern thing. Boo-urns.

I like the idea of E-sex being Open Source. Imagine the development process. It could be the Open Office of internet sex, or the Myspace of internet sex.

I'm surprised people kept expecting McKee to kill the librarian. Once it was clear that he was essentially killing "bullies" it was obvious he'd take out Cullen. And once THAT was clear it was obvious his girlfriend or whatever what actually with the football team bullies to humiliate him.

There was a scene where Lori said something like "Shane kept us alive all this time, longer than Rick" and Dale responds "No, he didn't." And I was REALLY confused, because Lori was completely right. Dale must have some fucked up ESP or something.

I'm also confused by the issue the reviewer has over their response to the talking dolphin, when it's been established that talking animals, while random, are part of the FG universe. You know, like BRIAN. I disagree there'd be any comedy mined over whether they're going crazy or not.

The biggest problem with this? They're still teaching these fucking intros in school when you begin the whole "writing essays" process. We all know they're awful, even the teachers themselves, but we keep pushing it onto the students.

"Eating Babies? Liberals are cah-razy!"

Counterpoint: Stallone knits a sweater.

"It feels a little silly attributing Machiavellian qualities to
Federline, given his justly merited reputation as a world-class dumbass,
but in Chaotic he is remarkably savvy at manipulating Spears’ emotions, bottomless need for validation, and massive insecurity to his own ends."

Yeah, it's obvious that a few shots (well, a lot of them) are definitely not part of the set of cameras the crew brought with them (especially when their hiking - there's no way AJ's setting up and picking up cameras every couple of feet.)

I'm gonna wait until the Ember Island Player review to say anything more, but I'm frankly surprised it's on people's "Top 5". I mean, it's fun, good, and amusing (and has a little depth to it), but all the Ember Island episodes are just emotional/dramatic exposition. I also get the whole meta/self-aware thing, but… I

Okay, so the last two weeks I've burned through all the Avatar eps, and immensely enjoyed the series. I'm ready for these recaps.

Meh, LPIFBSTAHCII jumped the shark in season 2.

I personally dug the Bart/Milhouse Mythcrackers stuff, not because it was funny, because they focused on school-based legends and rumors. It's a small thing, but it had an Hey Arnold! flair to it, focusing on small stuff, instead of somehow shoe-horning them into the "Mythcrackers" show or something.
