I agree with you about rebounds. That wouldn't concern me if the Pacers were out rebounding opponents and Lance was grabbing a lot of boards.

I'm not particularly surprised by the regression on the offensive end, I've never considered him to be a 20-10 every night guy.

Those people clearly haven't watched a Spurs game.

Plenty of busts look great on Pro Day, but game footage is probably a more reliable way to make personnel decisions. For one, there's the larger sample size, not to mention tape being in game.

I'm just glad there was nothing about the Pacers in this. This has just been an excruciating season. So many highs early on to this awful nose dive of the last three months.

Where did you and your friend fall on that divide?

I think that's a fair point. Perhaps he could have elaborated on it a bit. It might just be my distaste for him as a writer creeping in, something about his prose just rubs me the wrong way.

I'm a musicologist and the following from his review of The Plot Against Common Sense made me want to grab him by the shoulders and lecture him about tonality.

I think there's a tendency where any emotional state other than happiness is viewed as something to be overcome rather than as part of the normal human experience.

I really like The Field Mice. I think the compilation, Where'd You Learn To Kiss Like That is a pretty good starting point with them.

Speaking of Black Candy, I really love this cover of "Cast A Shadow" by Yo La Tengo. My college roommate said it reminded him of The Wonders.

Meanwhile, Krustophenia sits on the shelf

I think I saw a photo or preview with her as a bridesmaid, so all is not lost.

It's discussed down thread, but that's "Where Are They Now?" from Preservation Act 1.

I'm in a similar boat. I have Pacers season tickets and sit in the fan section of beloved Parks & Recreation guest, Roy Hibbert, so I feel especially obligated to go. They also play the Spurs that night and it might be the last chance I have to see Mr. Fundamental himself, Tim Duncan play.

You just described my summer wear, albeit without the sweatervests.

The more the show reveals things about the Mother, the more she reminds me of the woman i fell for the hardest.

If it's sincere and well done, I have no problem with music of religious bent. Gospel music is fantastic. The Swan Silvertones' "Trouble In My Way" is fantastic if you haven't heard it.

I love"Loquasto International Film Festival" because it's based on Bach's cantata, Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, BWV 140. That cantata also happens to one of the Bach pieces that influenced the organ part of "A Whiter Shade of Pale."

My friend and I have watched Die Hard together at his house on Chirstmas Eve for the last seven years. Last year we made the mistake of eating chemically enhanced baked goods and staging a drinking game involving spiked eggnog. I think we all passed out before McClane killed his first terrorist.
