Love that dude. Especially The James Gang or his solo stuff.

One issue I'm having with Disqus is that clicking on a reply to my post fails to bring me to the reply. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue.

I'm a sucker for jangly guitar songs. I dig the solo of "The Queen of Eyes," "I Will Dare,' and "Green Grow The Rushes."

It's a great riff and it's reminiscent of a Baroque melody with the perpetual motion thing it has going on with the eighth notes.

When I saw Neil Young & Crazy Horse for the first time last year, I nearly wept out of happiness when their second song was "Powderfinger." That guitar tone is insane. It's muscular, but still pretty twangy, the sound of the guitar on "Corona" reminds me of it quite a bit.

Bob did a pretty great cover of "Cinnamon Girl" on the 1990 tour.

Bob Mould does a solid version of "Shoot Out The Lights" I think it was available as a bonus cut on Workbook.

Thanks!

I hate the Eagles, but damn if Joe Walsh isn't a fine guitar player. His solo makes that song tolerable.

I love that song for being a pretty great Neil Young & Crazy Horse pastiche.

There's a discomforting overlap with Nixon's enemies list.

Someone once described that solo as Dave Davies by way of Roger McGuinn. I thought it was a fairly apt comparison.

With Zappa, my favorite is "Watermelon In Easter Hay" though I like "The Ocean Is The Ultimate Solution" because of the guitar tone and the use of xenochrony.

"And Your Bird Can Sing" already love that song because of the strong Baroque elements, but that solo is killer. I love the harmonized guitar thing Paul and George did.

"Cinnamon Girl" and "Powderfinger"

I'm mostly enjoying this season, but any episode with Cristin Milioti has been gold. She's delightful. Since there's a bit of a delay between her appearances, I feel like Milhouse wondering when Itchy & Scratchy will get to the fireworks factory.

I came late to the show and have only been watching in real time starting with season 7 and I agree with you on season 8. I really enjoy this show, but sometimes it's goes too broad and too dumb and that takes away from some of my enjoyment. What keeps me going is when they really nail the emotional beats or the jokes

Maybe a Cosby show type thing? Would have been worth it for the sweaters.

You were always my favorite member of the Minutemen (apart from D. Boon of course).

Much obliged, thank you, good sir!
