also, this:
you win the internets, or whatever it is the kids are saying nowadays, fastandsloppy.
to the guy who said he wished that there was a WH in denver, there's one around mississippi and I-225 in aurora. i know because my hot ukrainian friend ludmilla used to be a waitress there.
the manchurian candidate (original, with sinatra) for another movie that's considerably better than the book.
@anya: interesting. i've heard that faking beatings is SOP for former-USSR girls divorcing their western husbands. glad my little ukrainian ex never tried that one on me.
mmm…

two thumbs way up for those casting choices, ells.
i, too, got a good chuckle out of that one.
yes, this is OMD's best album. made more sense to me after spending a few years in the former USSR a few years ago.
me too. it could possibly not suck. tom petty's latest was really good. i still listen to it and everything. some people liked that santana album from a few years ago with that "give me your love or just forget about" song too, for some reason.
yep.

i've thought about getting a library card, but i have a decent job and i can get most of the books i want for a few bucks used, online. i don't really watch a lot of movies. i'd probably have trouble remembering to return books on time, anyway.
reaganomics really is the best name ever for an 80s cover band.
some rednecks are actually pretty nice people. a lot aren't any more racist than anyone else. you hipsters probably haven't spent much time actually talking to people who aren't of your own ilk.
frank miller…
