I think Jesse used the Voice to have Carlos beat himself up, which is why Jesse handed him the gun and tire iron.

I thought after handing Carlos the gun and tire iron, he would use The Voice on Carlos and have him beat himself up. (I think he made Donnie beat himself up in the men's room a while ago)
