They say there are no witches, but that's what they'd have to say, innit?

Charles Barkley apparently thought Wichita State was Hogwarts. Awesome.
Not intentionally, but it's been so long since I've seen Blade, I might have to re-watch tonight. I think I'd need a drinking game though.
I think there'd still be an uproar, but without the digital obfuscation, it'd be a fantastic movie. The relationship between the prophet and his first wife, who was older than him in a Hathaway/Shakespeare kinda margin, and his relationship to Abu Bakr. One tricky part might be deciding how to portray the conflict…
Thanks @TVkitty. I'm trying to come up with a Terriers joke, but I've got nothing. I hope he shows up on Justified or The Americans in the next year or two.
I'm blushing
That sequel's The Quran. They're working on casting a hunky Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him).
Really? Awesome! I ask for citation, not because I don't believe you (which I do) I'd just like to get high on the source vs. contact.
Good, the show's on your mind — now please don't leave it out on the next "What's on Tonight" segment. Maybe more'll read the excellent reviews.
TUS (cut-off)
I wanna throw some love for The Gift, the poems of Hafez al-Shirazi as interpreted by Daniel Ladinsky, up here in the AVC. More playful and more poignant than Coleman Barks' work with Rumi, it may have (and I type the next word very carefully) literally saved my life back when I lived in central Arkansas.
Also, what I should've typed a few minutes ago, have you checked out Pamuk's The Black Book? It's set in Istanbul, and despite (to this reader at least) some impenetrabilities, it presents a great descent into paranoia against the backdrop of the great city.
Awesome — what other books're on your kick?
Started re-reading Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns (which I'd posit is a superior novel to the Kite Runner), but put it down for a little bit because I kept crying, so now I'm on Augusten Burrough's Sellevision, which is in no way sad.
If you haven't checked it out yet, when you're done with Paradise Lost, I'd recommend Samson Agonistes. I'd rank it below Paradise Lost, but above Paradise Regained.
Intruder in the Dust is one of my favorites. Sanctuary is also very good.
Funerals all over the world everywhere every minute. Shovelling them under by the cartload doublequick. Thousands every hour. Too many in the world.
Comment removed because @sieze.seas is kinda stupid this morning.
Ah, thanks for that. And, I quite like your handle.
Nice - I didn't catch that
