Disagree entirely.  Yes, the album doesn't rock as hard as "Shocking", "Ritual", or "Strays".  But overall it is better than "Strays", and let's face it, Jane's Addiction is never going to release another album as monumental and dynamic as "Shocking" or "Ritual" again.  I personally am okay with that, despite how

Picking a favorite Stones album is like picking a favorite child, an impossible task.  For me, it's always a toss-up between "Tattoo You", "Beggars Banquet", "Let It Bleed", "Sticky Fingers", and "Exile On Main St."  And my favorite could change on any given day. "Some Girls" is a close second.

Sadly this review is spot-on.  I like Bjork's music a lot, but "Biophilia" left me cold.  The album sounds great, it's a shame the actual songs aren't better.

TKOL is a grower, though still a minor work in Radiohead's pretty amazing canon.  My ranking:

OK Computer
Hail To The Thief (for all practical purposes a tie with In Rainbows, my opinion changes often)
In Rainbows
Kid A
The Bends
Amnesiac
The King Of Limbs
Pablo Honey

Another rock solid Ryan Adams album.  It's not his absolute best work, but it is very, very good, certainly up there with Easy Tiger and Cardinology, but not quite as amazing as Cold Roses, Love Is Hell, or Gold.  I will be buying it next week.

Gotta disagree about Wilco's "The Whole Love" being a placeholder album or merely "solid, worthy".  It's right up there in my mind with "YHF", "Being There", and "Sky Blue Sky" for awesomeness.  After all, how many modern rock bands can successfully pull off the album's bookends, "Art of Almost" and "One Sunday

Good album, but crikey, I miss the days when the band genuinely rocked.  The Jayhawks are never going to make an album as perfect as "Hollywood Town Hall" again, are they?

I have read "Life" and it is outstanding.  Probably the best rock autobiography next to Bob Dylan's "Chronicles, Vol. 1".  Well worth your time and money.

Fantastic album and one of the best of the year; also her best since her last Mercury Prize winner.  Totally agree that is well-deserved.
