Season 2 is almost universally terrible. Most of the plots make Landry's murder adventures look psychologically taut in comparison. I can't even get behind the Riggins support. He seriously hosts his own show on a Christian radio station in order to win Lyla back. I promise I'm not making it up.

I hope they're fighting over custody of Baxter.

I agree that it's a character-driven drama in disguise but I still like the plantation episode because it was primarily about the Kenny/Stevie relationship and the final scene of the episode drove that point home.

It sucks that more people didn't watch this when it was on but I understand why it didn't catch on. On the surface it looks kind of awful and the title doesn't help. I only discovered it because I randomly flipped to ABC.

Bun is willing to do a feature for almost anyone. I'm not sure why that would appeal to northern white people specifically but he is pretty ubiquitous at this point.

In this instance it didn't have anything to do with the type of show. Even though Children's Hospital is a difficult show to write about, someone lets/makes Sims review it because people want to discuss it. Tim just didn't draw enough comments/page views to justify weekly reviews.

Seriously. Elephant in the Room is the best special/album of 2011. It's kind of an arbitrary distinction if the only reason it wasn't eligible is because he only released it as a special. Just include specials, albums, and comedy music on the same list.

Yeah this was a very good year for hip hop. Black Up was an egregious oversight. O'Neal is the only one who voted for it. I will stick my list of the best hip hop albums of 2011 here:

I love both of those albums but nothing released this year even comes close to Black Up by Shabazz Palaces.
