Yeah, I thought that was the point of the scene: she's supposed to the kill the actress, and only the actress. She goes, sees the actor playing her father acting like a buffoon, so she lies and says only the actress drinks from her rum, when in fact they both do.

Obviously, there is some truth in him "wanting to get away" from his wife, but I thought his over-the-top reactions were meant to be more about him than about what a harpy she was for…
