Yeah, Trinity's remarks seemed really fucking awful.

It made me genuinely happy. I respect that Valentina is sincere, and the talking head where she prays in Spanish and English makes me really want a telenovela challenge this season, so she can slay it.

I just watched this last night and I have to say I'm really enjoying it so far: Jessica Brown Findlay, in particular, has a warmth that reminds me why she was always the best Crawley sister, and I loved the sibling relationship of Lucy and her little brother (I can't remember his name) listening at the door at the

Yes. It was a moment of beauty.

She's genuinely something special. She also regularly writes her own raps, including one about being the Worst Token Black Chick around. It's delightful!

I just need to take a moment to brag about the actress playing Athena—she is genuinely amazing (and not just for her ability to consumer 99 chicken nuggets in a single sitting). Tish and I went to college together, and I'm just so pleased to her getting the shoutouts she deserves.

God, I loved Chi Chi for that. She gets points for creativity and also for just straight-up avoiding the kimono nonsense.

Agreed. It's incredibly refreshing.

Precisely! There is a wonderful Czech restaurant about ten minutes from my house, and one of my favorite things on a nice day is to stop in during happy hour for a glass of Pilsner Urquell.

Less than you'd think (she says, speaking from experience).

Sadly, no. But I have a sister in Farnborough!

I'M OVER IT!

THE GREATER GOOD.

Someone upthread mentioned the idea of doing a version of Stepford set in Korea, with Western English teachers all working with these elite students at a small school. I think it could really work.

DO IT! I just got back from seeing this, and holy shit it's every bit as good as you think it's going to be.

I loved that show so much! "Frank liked tacos. And black chicks. [Pause] Sorry. African-American women."

Bringing bourbon is such an excellent life choice.

For what it's worth, I would totes do that.

This might make me weird, but I also occasionally go to restaurants alone. I like trying new places, and since I don't mind going early, I can usually get a good seat (or end up eating at the bar), bring a good book, and avoid cooking for myself.
