A friend of mine and I would make mix tapes with songs that we liked, interspersed with lines from out favorite tv shows. It would be a song, then several minutes of Simpsons quotes, then a song, then some Kids In The Hall lines, then a song, and so forth.

Someone else probably mentioned this already, but that H.R. Giger poster including with Frankenchrist resulted in obscenity charges being brought against the DKs. Fighting those charges was very costly, and really through a wrench in the band's career.

The first album by the then-newly reunited Misfits, American Psycho, had a decent hidden bonus track at the end of the album. Actually, there were two: the CD version had a song called "Hell Night," whereas the vinyl album had one called "Dead King's Rise." Of the two, "Hell Night" was, in my opinion, the better song.

I call bullshit on that! There were no boob tubes in 1943! (Well, televisions had been invented, but they had tiny screens and almost nobody had them)

Heat Wave in this episode reminded me of Bender in "The Late Phillip J. Fry" episode of Futurama. In that one, Bender wanted to stay in the future where robots have risen up and enslaved humanity ("Look at that mountain of skulls!"), and Mick was acting just like him this week.

I dunno…a long time ago (like, '60s or '70s), my mother went to France with a friend, just as tourists, but the friend met a Frenchman and ended up marrying him and never leaving. So it is possible (or was at some point).

I was right there with Ravi. I mean, I try not to have "deal breakers", but not even knowing what the Millennium Falcon is would probably make me mark a woman as undateable also.
