Season 8!/whatever

Sandman is really one of the all-time greats of comics. I kind of feel like it's been forgotten, perhaps because it's so sprawling - it should be mentioned in the same breath as Watchmen or Dark Knight (maybe just a step below Maus)

C'mon, they literally didn't believe it long enough to leave the office.

Oh here we go!
 -The Debate
-Win, Lose or Draw
-The Trial
-End of the World
-Citizen Knope
I'm betting this one, Trial, and Debate will be on pretty much everyone's lists.

I'll agree on the Troy crying, but the Ratner joke was at least partially at Abed's expense, rather than just a straight putdown. It's about how over-the-top his reaction was.

Man, I've done that. Pop culture's important, I don't want to get with people who have shitty taste. I treat them the same way I do non-assholey Christians; I've got nothing against you, and I'll be your friend, but I'll never date you.

By far the best was "South Africa (D.M.B.)"

Yeah, that was pretty uncool, and kind of a shitty joke. You could sub in like any crime there and get the same meaning.

I forgot that one! That was hilarious.

Omigod, Ben's face when he drank the whiskey.

"You have a COLD today!"

Oh that was great. I wanted to see some smoke drifting down the hall or something, though.

Thoughts:
- This may have been Ann's strongest episode all season.
- Yay, Chris isn't leaving! (Probably)
-I wish Ron had taken the City Manager job, though
-  I really loved Andy breaking character for a minute; reminded me of Kenneth on 30 Rock earlier this year, but sweet instead of weird.
-Leslie putting that portrait

…Alright, who else teared up a little bit when Leslie gave Ben the figurine?

I honestly assumed that we were seeing those from some grouper's POV

I've gotta agree on the "meep meep" - just felt very cringeworthy and early-season Jess. Actually, a lot of Jess's stuff this episode felt very regressive - she only felt like late-season Jess towards the end.

I know, right? Every time their faces got close, i just clenched up.

@avclub-d89b833158f0d9a73fd33bb243fe5786:disqus Yeah, the characters just don't immediately stand out like they did on Parks, and there's less of a non-relationship plot generator here. I think it might have a more stable run than Parks, though - it feels like a show that could go on.

It's not just what every other show would've done - it's what this show would have done at the beginning. Seriously, how many of those early episodes ended with Jess and the guys singing together? This says to me that the characters can work on their own now, away from that group dynamic. I just wish they'd found a
