No mention for David Dundas' "Jeans On"? Not only did it start as a commercial jingle, it ends up being a perverted love song to a piece of clothing. ("I wanna have you close to me, then I know everything is alright").

I'd argue for "Dog Eat Dog" — the greatest Talking Heads song the Talking Heads never wrote — but "UHF" is a blast.

AKA Fear(s) of the Dark:
It's one of the titles under IFC's rental exclusive arrangement with Blockbuster. I've seen it for rent at my local store, but there doesn't seem to be a date for general sale.

It gets even better, Mr Fhtagn; the school nickname is the Lancers.

Drop Dead Fred
This "Hence a plot to "Beetlejuice it up" with an expanded universe full of other imaginary friends" pretty much guarantees that I won't have any interest in this, as the best thing about the original is the frisson of the first hour where it's an open question whether or not the Phoebe Cates'

I wondered about the episode title, too, since the obvious title would have been "The Wolowitz Coefficient", but I think it's a subtle reference to Stuart, who's almost, but not quite, a clone of Leonard. An isotope, if you will.

While YES MAN isn't a good movie, it's more mediocre than eye-gougingly awful. I hated LIAR LIAR, despite it having one near-genius comic sequence (the blue pen), because of the thoroughly noxious levels of sentiment (it was directed by Tom Shadyac of PATCH ADAMS fame). That's not really an issue with YES MAN.

I read Memoirs of an Invisible Man a long time ago (like back when it was published in 1990(?)). I do remember, that like Steven Gould's JUMPER, its strongest aspect was the idea of a rational mind testing out the limits and properties of his unusual condition.

All sarcasm aside…
Given that the 30 minutes or so of DEATH I could stomach was excruciatingly unfunny, I think a remake from Rock and the director of YOUR FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS might not be such a bad idea. It can't be any worse…

It doesn't so much drag, as that the parsing out of the two reveals places far too much emphasis on the what and why dramatically, when it's the relationship between Thomas and her sister (the just-as-good Elsa Zylberstein) that should have been the focus of the movie. Also, the film is suffocatingly tasteful.

There are most definitely threats of CLAMPS, but very little actual clamping. And when Nathan says the Bender subplot falls flat, he means "flails about in an epic display of unfunny". The film get somewhat better later, since, like THE BEAST, there's an ambitious SF plot at its heart. But those first 20 minutes may

Kate Winstlet
I pretty much have to admit, even its it for ome of its her leeast worth interesting performances., I', m glad to see Kate Winslet win to see an Oscar.

Danny Boyle (Best Director)
I'm just going to pretend this award for MILLIONS….

Foreign La nguage
I have to admi I' m happy too see a film I'm happy to see a film I'm a film that might not otherwise not seen yet get a chance (for the record: REVACHE: underwhelming but worthy,

Yes. That someone who can give as emotionally ripe a performance as his in BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN or as commanding as THE DARK KNIGHT (when he pushes the guy's face into the pencil in THE DARK KNIGHT, Heath pretty much movie and the audience) and then dies, it's pretty heartbreaking.

Bill MaHER
As an atheist, I just want to punch to Bill Maher in the face. (I sincerely want to believe in a loving, forgiving God. I just don' think it's true..)

It was surprisingly funny, if somewhat superficial. It was my second favorite of the nominated films.

Live Short
Of course it goes to TOYLAND (easily the worst of the shorts, live or animated).. FWIW, MANON ON THE ASPHALT was my favorite in this category, though I'll admit it just plays to one of my emotional buttons. (Let's just say I cry like a bucket during the Star Trek: Next Generation episode "The Inner Light"
