I don't know I have always very succesfully avoided star trek, to the point where I have never actually seen a full episode. I have never gotten star trek, mainly, because I have never given it a chance(and because i don't think there are as many obsessive startrek fans here in germany), but I'm really really surprised that star trek was plagued by low ratings. I never knew that, I just might have to give it a try.
