well it makes sense that the bitchiest would be the most talented, since people with talent are much less likely to be held accountable for their bitchy behaviour and after years of that it can get out of control.

yeah i like Mel alot as well, and she seems to be a "(pop)culturebuff / a little nerdy. i hope thats actually what the writers wanted her to be, and that is hasn't just been a coincidence that she gets lots of popculture references ect.

Its one of those shows, where you are aware of how much people love it, but you just can't quite believe the hype of "Best show ever!!!" and then you watch an episode, and suddenly you realize your into season 2 and late for work.

thats why the olympics themselves should actually have guidelines to how the events have to be covered and only sell the rights to air to networks that agree to those guidelines. This would mean less money in some cases, so its not going to happen in this world.

I've been reading these reviews, and I must say, wow, I pity you guys very much, if how these reviews describe the nbc coverage is in anyway accurate and not just overblown whining. I mean i'm sure a lot of it has to do with the time differance, but still, they only seem to focus on american things in one of the few…

I agree, that the Roseanne who created the show was a great and insightful comedian, but from all I've seen of her after the show ended has been pretty disapointing. I think she lost a lot of her middleclass vibe the longer she was rich. i mean she is still a lefty to her credit, but her comedy doesnt feel authentic…
