Thanks Milk/OTP, I just jotted down your recommendations. Since you're saying Red is more of a mixing Scotch, I'm thinking that's where I went wrong. I'm used to drinking Bourbon mostly straight and that's what I did with the Red Label. I'll probably head out and try the McCallan sometime this weekend if I get a

Anyone else kinda wishing AV Club did drink reviews/columns/entire sections so that we could do this every week?

Sam Adams does have some great beers. Love their Oktoberfest and Winter Lager. Cherry Wheats an ol' time fave of mine as well.

Great Lakes is a great brewery as well. Based out of Cleveland, but I think it's pretty well known in microbrew circles if I'm not mistaken.

The only Scotch I've ever tried was Walker Red Label. I thought it was terrible. I think from now on I'm just sticking with Bourbon as i prefer quite a bit. Unless of course someone can convince me that Red Label is just a shitty Scotch and not necessarily a fair representation of what Scotch is/can be.

I'm a huge fan of dark rum. So, tonight, I might have to try this Dark and Stormy you guys are talking about. Thank god they posted this article on a Friday.

Well, it's at least better than Bud Light and Coors Light. I'll give you that.

God damn Eastern PAers. I'll agree with you on the Yuengling, but I'll be damned if Sheetz doesn't beat the shit out of your WaWas.

Rolling Rock sucks. And I say that as a person coming from an area (right outside Latrobe, PA where it was originally brewed) where you can be killed for saying such a thing. It's absolutely horrible.

I just want to remind all of you that aren't from Pennsylvania to take a minute this Holiday season and be thankful that you can buy alcohol at grocery stores and gas stations.

It saddens me that I just now realized that my favorite writers on this site apparently don't drink.

Oooo, Gone Baby Gone… maybe.

LAotA, great comment. I definitely see where you're coming from and I think it makes a strong argument for the ending which everyone seems to hate so much. My problem, however, it on a more practical level. Less about the idea of the film and more on the execution. While it's great to have a powerful and profound idea

LAotA, I'm not going to sit here and yell at you and type in all caps what an idiot you are for liking AI. In all honesty, I can see why people enjoy AI. If you don't really focus on the bad things and really just let the positive aspects carry you through (of which there are admitably many in AI), then it's an

Here's the thing about AI:

Assassination fell short by comparison to Zodiac? I beg to differ.

I can't really get into the whole 3d fad knowing that James Cameron's next film after Avatar is going to be filmed/shown in 4d. Can't wait to see what that looks like…

What does Barfman have to say about all of this?

Maybe AVClub's sort of like Logan's Run. Once we get to 10,000, we're sent to Carousel to renew.
