Not to mention Kevin Smith. Casting her as God — a mute God, no less — certainly utilized that style.

@Clueless: If you want to get started right away, they have a bunch of Newsradio eps up on Hulu. It's not a concise, complete list, but I'd say they have about 90% of S's 1-4 up.
Naturalism on HBO
While I realize that The Sopranos was and has been HBO's most popular show, I fail to agree with you that it was "largely responsible" for this style. HBO's been running TV shows for a long time — and The Sopranos, while popular, was hardly the first. Dream On (1990) and Larry Sanders (1992) both…
I'm curious about an English Moon too. I'd never even heard of it until I checked out that link.
Er…I kept saying "better than" there. I'll be satisifed if you can provide examples of dance/games/paintings that are *as good* as a novel.
"No medium is inherently a better storyteller than any other."
It happened with me.
All this talk about From Hell…it was my third graphic novel, following Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns — and I'm still not exactly sure why it is so heralded; the art's pretty good, but the story is a very cliched (and thoroughly debunked) take on the Royal conspiracy theory.
I still have an ax to grind over that film. I thought it looked like crap, but it kept getting really good reviews. Maybe it was all the hype, but that was one of the absolute worst movies I've ever seen. The acting and the direction were bad, but the writing…whew…just stunningly bad dialogue and story.
This is the first online multi-player game that I've really enjoyed…ever.
Hardly a thing by this guy on eBay…maybe it is rare?
By a strange accident…
I happen to own the very first one of these. I only found it mildly amusing, so I've come close to throwing it out a few different times, but I never have.
I Googled it. Not a shred of truth to it as far as I could tell.
Second worst?
No kidding.
This is about the only worthwhile comment on this whole thread.
"Co-raised with Mia Farrow since she was a baby"
I've always liked that little reference. You don't realize it yet if it's your first viewing, but Jack is actually a zombie so it's a nice little Thriller-MJ homage/in-joke.
Yeah, the lack of Bananas on this list reflects poorly on the taste and judgment of everyone involved with this article.
Yeah, that's strange. Everyone I know who watched Weeds (myself included) stopped watching during the fourth season. I found it offensively, appallingly bad. They turned Nancy into one of the most unlikeable, dumb and repugnant characters I've seen on a TV show.
