They went wild in the streets, running, running.
Wasn't that Ice Cube's band?
Slightly off topic, but I once came up with a Ben & Jerry's flavor named "Heinous Anus." It would be nuts and marshmallows with a chocolate and peanut butter swirl.
I think you misspelled "heinous."
Freedom of speech does not mean you get to say whatever you want without any consequences. What's so fucking hard to understand about this?
Spike Lee just tweeted Michael Palin's address.
Don't be hating on pants-hating.
Ya know, I was raving about Spider-Man up above, but one thing I only just realized from reading your post is that the stakes in those movies were relatively small when compared to other films in the genre. With the exception of the second movie, none of those films centered around the destruction of the universe/New…
I just wrote out a really longwinded post, but yes, the safeness is what drives me up a wall. That's why I like Spider-Man and Hellboy, they did enough that was unexpected to make them worthwhile for non-comic book fans.
Hey, it's not like I'm sitting here saying that all people who see superhero movies are retards and that they shouldn't make them anymore. I'm just a little tired of dozens of movies being released every year exercising the same tropes over and over again. You see one superhero movie, you've seen them all. But it's…
My Idiot Brother wasn't horrible, but it was gratingly dull. I think there was a good premise there, but like Jeff Who Lives At Home it spent its whole running length just spinning its wheels.
I feel really sorry for those schmucks who get suckered into paying for for-profit universities like University of Phoenix or Full Sail College. Although on the flip side, a lot of legitimate state universities have become just as predatory in admitting people who have no hope or ambition of even graduating…
I'm right there with ya, pal. I was never too into comic books, but I did like a few of the superhero movies from the last generation of superhero movies, particularly the first two Riami Spider-Man films, the Nolan Batman trilogy, and the Hellboy series. But the new generation, which I would say kicked off with the…
I just changed my phone number and my mailing address, and now it's like I never borrowed money in the first place!
The cost of broadcasting rights is a good rebuttal, but I just have a hard time believing that a premium content channel like HBO doesn't have enough money at their disposal to match or better the variety of movies of a basic cable channel like FX or AMC. But like you implied, it's likely they just don't give a shit…
Actually, I'd totally watch a Hawaii set Borat sequel today, but only if it were blatantly obvious that it was mocking and satirizing tired Hollywood sequels. I think there would be a really good concept in taking that character and sticking him in a low-budget comedy sequel a la Crocodile Dundee 2.
Borat was followed up by Bruno, not really a sequel but the characters were both spun off from the same franchise so I'd count it. Ditto with How The Grinch Stole Christmas, which was followed by that godawful live-action Cat In The Hat movie.
Especially in the age of DVR, what positive effect are multiple airings of Houseguest in a single day supposed to yield?
There's a good possibility that I'm one of your cousins.
