Todd: As a linguist, I feel duty-bound to inform you that the vowel in "butts", in pretty much every dialect of American English, is not actually a schwa [ə], but the further-back and slightly lower [ʌ]. Compare the first 'o' in 'Colorado' to the 'u' in 'butt' and you might hear the difference.
