@Goofus, there's no way Mr Wint and Mr Kidd are "possibly" gay. they're gay as a window.

i found the Crystal World really claustrophobic, know what you mean about it getting under your skin.

i posted above on Vermillion Sands, kingink, hadn't seen your post. agreed it's beautiful, really haunting stuff.

High Rise has a superb opening. he had me at the guy roasting an Alsation.

i may have missed the point about them being deliberate companion pieces or something, but Super-Cannes and Cocaine Nights are the same damn novel. both good, but exactly the same.

re: short stories, the Vermillion Sands collection is awesome. some really haunting stuff in there. read it listening to the first Thievery Corporation album and somehow the two fit together perfectly.

totally disagree that the Iliad doesn't need a proper adaptation, even more so after the Troy fiasco. hard to believe they made something so tepid out of what's basically the greatest story ever told.

this is even better - it's a three-boot!

i thought everyone was related to Genghis Khan?

will somebody PLEASE think of the babies?!

as a Saints fan, i'd appreciate you not bringing up the Ali Dia debacle, Bill…..

right on pheeze, that newton faulkner version makes me genuinely angry.

best cast ever: Stockwell, Prochnow, Max von Sydow, Patrick Stewart, legends all. even Sting has a batshit charm to him in that movie

i'm with you on Anaconda, Tibber. you can almost forget it's J-Lo.

now, to just stretch my calves on this convenient window ledge….

hot women
yes, mendes would clearly struggle to deal competently with "hot women", being married to Kate Winslet and all…..

I thought we agreed - total body prosthesis.

you had me at 'Nicolas Cage in a bear suit'. after that, the punching's just a gift
