Why are posters on the AV Club always talking about hitting people?

I'm still listening to Chance The Rapper's last mixtape/album Acid Rap. Really good summertime vibe.

It's one thing to have Kurt Cobain mumbling obliquely about heroin or whatever, but this is a song that repeats its stupid message in the chorus.  You don't have to think very much about the song's meaning either; it's right in your face.

I emailed a guy named Rainman Wong on Alibaba the other day.  You can probably google him if you want to talk about his life and perspective on being named after a movie.

And The Larry Sanders Show, which really has a lot in common with The Sopranos.  Seriously.

“It's like having a picnic at the beach and getting pissed when the seagulls show up.”

"Allowing rape to be treated casually is part of a culture that largely dismisses the importance of rape, and by doing so, is worse for pretty much everyone."
Again, how is this different from treating any other violent crime casually?  A joke about murder or suicide doesn't trigger campaigns for someone to

.

Yes, we collectively agreed to stop using lame name puns about 5 years ago.

I think you, and pretty much everyone else, are misinterpreting his comments about the rape.  For the record, I enjoy the show casually but don't think it was even in the top 3 comedies on TV at the time, so I'm not saying this as a fanboy. He's being hyperbolic, obviously, but underneath the sarcasm he's saying that

He's saying watching this was emotionally painful and horrible, which seems like the opposite of making light of it.

It's not bad. I don't know about calling their previous albums "fun as hell", though.

Yes, and think back to Pete's self destructive revenge earlier this season: telling on his Father in Law when it gains him nothing and helps no one, because "it's only right that you know" or whatever he said.

Y'all worried 'bout the Mummy's curse?/Fuck that, worry 'bout a yeezus verse/Come to the 312, ride in a Chicago hearse!

Eh, why not?  He was absolutely the defining characteristic of that movie; plus, everyone has the "right" to comment about everything (what the fuck else is the internet for?).

To be fair, anyone who worked reception in a paper sales office more than a year would be pretty well dead inside.

Atherosclerosis is coming.

The Bing movie is a reboot of C.H.U.D. for reasons that will soon become clear.

Pete looks like he has good Northeastern WASP "live forever" genes, so I think he's safe.
