I think Borat is hilarious as a charachter, but did anybody think the movie felt fake and failed to capture what he did so well on the Ali G show?

Couldn't Ben Kingsley still get nominated for "Wackness?" I mean obviously he won't, but wasn't he in like 1/3 of all movies that came out this year? Throw him something and he was awesome in this one.
