I dropped Sleepy Hollow after the mid-season break (Jane the Virgin is on at the same time, making it a no-brainer, and the show was turning into a drag to catch up on), but tuned in for the finale. I'm with everyone here in hoping they get a third season to turn things around (the final scene certainly seemed like a

Metamodern Sounds in Country Music by Sturgill Simpson, which, despite its awful title, has a really great old-fashioned gospel-tinged country sound to it. (Hopefully, someone with a better understanding of country music can chime in and tell me what exactly it sounds like—I don't know if it's Grand Ole Opry or what,

He was so cute, and I felt so bad for him! Though I loved when they cut to his knowing smile after Andy incorrectly defined "phenomenon."

I LOVED that book! Such a fascinating look at perception, intuition, deduction, etc.

That cement death scene was straight out of Pushing Daisies. I want Ned the Piemaker to show up…then get a spin-off with Chi McBride, Anna Friel and Kristin Chenoweth.

Can we just have a week of Must Watch: Peter Dinklage movies? Up next: Peter Dinklage as a wedding planner in The Baxter. "I am not a marriage counselor, Mr. Sherman. I am a marriage maker. Good day to you."

I knew that second word wasn't right; thanks.

Ninjas, disperse!

Was he in that too? I was thinking of Footloose, The Spectacular Now, That Awkward Moment and Whiplash.

Miles Teller must have the best agent ever. He's a good actor, but everything he's done in just the past few years manages to show off his range and expose him to the widest audience possible.

Holy sh*t, that's an awesome cast. I know nothing about the Fantastic Four, so I don't have any opinion on their appropriateness for the roles and would probably watch it just for the actors (even though it looks like a dreary dud). It's almost like they're trying to get me to see it against my better judgment!

Yeah, I keep missing them because Parks and Rec has always seemed to exist in a slightly alternate reality anyway

I just found out this morning that I didn't even make it past the first round in a job I applied for three weeks ago. The worst part about it is that I thought my experience and qualifications were a perfect match for the job description, so I expected to at least get an interview.

Her "Right now, I'm intrigued by…" was so, so on point.

I'm a day late on this, but…Robert Frost! I was just thinking about his poem "Bereft" and feel like dropping it here since it feels appropriate for the season. Few poets have Frost's gift of creating poetry out of such simple, straightforward language.

Currently halfway through the first season of Hart of Dixie. I caught the end of the episode before the midseason finale of Jane the Virgin, and the small-town hijinx reminiscent of Stars Hollow intrigued me. It's just the kind of charming, low-key comedy/drama I need to get me through the winter (and JTV hiatus).

Ahh, that gets me too

I love love love this movie. Michael Caine kills it as Scrooge. Every time a song starts I say "This is my favorite!", but I think my real favorite is "Bless Us All." I love how unabashedly sincere it is. Also, their harmonies are pretty amazing.

I've watched it on DVD twice recently with people who prefer to skip that part, and I fast-forwarded most of the song but told them that we had to watch the end when Scrooge sings with her. It's so powerful.

Right? And it cuts to Rizzo crying, which doesn't seem merited without the song.
