@avclub-4602fc349ffc0ad649190e937f2a5f14:disqus So is most whiskey (Scotland and Kentucky ain't exactly papal strongholds).

Oh, cool - so they finally got rid of the Royals, then?

C'mon, man - you can't be surprised by now.  Ever since NBC got the rights, I'm guessing about 95% of the nationally-televised games that they've shown have featured at least one of the following teams:

I got tired of St. Patrick's Day parties a few years back, for the most part, and now I often just stay in and pop this film in the DVD player with a bottle of Irish whiskey by my side (nothing too fancy, just some Powers or Bushmills).  It's always good fun.

Pina was screened in 3D in my area…for one fucking week, and I found out about it right after it left the theater.  Of course, the indie theaters screened it in 2D for a month.

Muscle Man!  The dude has got no mercy.  He just whips off that shirt and leaves it in the street.

The more I think about it, that retarded, farting, amateurish book of self-indulgent fiction is pretty much a metaphor for my brain.

EDIT: yeah, what Nathan Ford's Evil Twin said.

The "gooey" part might've been a bit too much.  Oh, who am I kidding - I'm still hard.

@avclub-9c33ea7188cb0fc5d524f4ad1e8d8fc5:disqus Many Canes fans feel the same way about Brandon Sutter.  I was also looking forward to seeing Dumoulin make the team in a year or two.  And you got an extra 1st round pick, too.

I'll always remember him for…well, living a few mins from where my family lived in London.  He had a pretty posh place right on the west side of Holland Park.  Despite passing by it almost daily, I think I only ever saw him once.  Seemed a bit grumpy, and me rolling by on a skateboard didn't help.

That half pipe is totally unrealistic.  No flat bottom at all.  Somebody fired etc.

AT&T is one of my favorite songs off of Wowee Zowee, so I totally don't get this metaphor.

@avclub-9c33ea7188cb0fc5d524f4ad1e8d8fc5:disqus Word.  I'm not even a Nashville fan, but we Carolina fans often show solidarity with our next door neighbor's team (as long as they stay in the Western Conference).

If only the were allowed to compete for titles, huh?

Uh, I really can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

"which is really fucking rich, considering the average intelligence of Yahoo! comments"

You know who else would like to see an episode about Muscle Man's mom?

Why does Columbus already need another professional sports team?  They already have Ohio State's athletic program!  Zing!

Huh.  In your sentence about the lack of televised Islanders games, are you sure that you didn't mean to say "mercifully" instead of "disappointingly"?
