Through all of the heartbreaking things this season - the break with Princess Carolyn, the fight with Todd, the death of Sarah Lynn - the only time I truly burst into tears was during that final image. Seeing Bojack pull a Walter White, only to have him slam on the brakes and watch that herd of wild horses running…
Yeah, bitch! Multitudes!
Elysian's Dark o' the Moon Pumpkin Stout. Delicious. I'm a stout girl through and through, but there are some pumpkin ales brewed in the PNC that are damn fine. In Seattle, we like our beer. I'm also a fan of Southern Tier's Pumking, as well as their Warlock stout.
So, I'm the only one who thought Bojack's silhouette made me think of MST-3000?
But this makes me think of his excuses to Todd, as well, where he tries to negate his role in all of the bad things that happen to the people he supposedly cares about. He tells fake-Todd in this episode, "I'm sorry, I want to take full responsibility for what happened even though it is not my fault and I did nothing…
Are you fucking kidding me? How did I miss that?
And to add to the theme of Sarah Lynn's true aspirations, the facade of her house is a sterling example of classical style in architecture. She really has a thing for French doors.
"To life! And being done with it!" *laughter follows*
"your skin is so soft its like you murdered a baby and stole its skin, your skin is murdered baby soft"
Yeah, exactly. I mean, fuck, man, what else is there to say?
I have not, but I will definitely check it out, thanks!
That's fantastic. RML was one of my son's favorite Nick shows at the time (right behind Invader Zim, and Cartoon's Network's Samurai Jack), so I used to watch it with him. I'd say the same thing to him whenever I'd serve something for dinner and he, being an insanely picky eater, would make a face.
I was not even much of a fan of the Bojack Kills episode, but as soon as she pulled out that packet of H from his glove compartment, I was like, daaaamn, show. I knew what was coming next. I mean, that was simply masterfully executed.
Time to go, *knock knock knock*, time to go.
Oh wow, I'm jealous. That must have been a phenomenal experience.
It was actually her mother's boyfriend, iirc. Otherwise, step-father. I don't remember her mentioning her mother ever getting married to him, just that he was a photographer who homeschooled her.
Major kudos to Rami Malek for not only keeping a straight face through all that zaniness, but also maintaining Elliot's utter incomprehension and fear at what he was witnessing. I could have sworn, though, I saw a few instances where he was getting ready to crack. Looking forward to the blooper reel.
Yeah, that's true, I just meant the sitcom was meant to riff on a 90s show, and also Elliot was really referencing his youth. I thought the Bud Light commercial was also 90s, though.
I was actually a little disappointed when that new car commercial started up. I was seriously hoping they were going to run the gimmick the entire night. That would have been a hoot, all of the companies buying spots tonight dusting off their old ads.
