Eek! The Cat did some great riffs on movies, and usually not ones a kid would normally know. Off the top of my head I can recall episodes that were parodies of  Jaws, A Clockwork Orange, Apocalypse Now, Pulp Fiction, The Exorcist.

It definitely has elements of Meatballs and some other 80's summer camp movies like the one with Micheal J Fox and Jo from The Facts of Life.

I won't speak for others, but this Mets fan was much happier with the Yankees loosing (and in the way they did) while living in the Manhattan at the time.

A Mets fan can root for either football team, and a Giants fans for either baseball team, but Jets fan are almost always Mets fans and Yankee fans are almost always Giant fans.
