I didn't cry when Ned lost his head.
I didn't cry when Rob got shanked by the Lannisters.
I didn't cry when Shireen got a little toasty.

So…after seeing how secure Woodbury was against zombies, you're telling me that our group of intrepidly derpy bunch of survivors can't take some well made pointers in how to make a secure zone? Sure the Governor was bat shit insane, but he did know how to secure a one street town against the undead. Heck, he even

As a Brit, I always cross my fingers that someone includes Blackadder in such lists with it's ending being one of the most moving in television's history.  It manages to transcends the comedy in the last 10 minutes to become a damning indictment of the folly of war, with some truly emotionally painful lines which

:)  Now only if Mass Effect had ended as well, but yeah, there's huge undertones of Babylon 5 in that setting.   I don't think I'll ever forget Bioware for the endings - From London, onwards, it felt tired in it's execution.  For myself, the highlight will always be Mordin's sacrifice.  He'd earnt his redemption

Nah, if I wanted to make you ball I'd quote "…the sun is coming up".  I remember utterly losing it and bawling like a baby at that moment.  No Sci-fi had managed that before or since.

I used to like it, but then I realised rather then celebrating geek culture, it was like the playground bully picking on it to get a laugh out of others.

I'll give BSG credit where credit is due, the atmospheric jump was cool as hell, and I don't mean that lightly.  It was a inspired idea, and I hope the writer who came up with it got brought a couple of cases of beer for that one.

Two other points:

The image of the white star falling like a phoenix wreathed in flames, the music swelling in the background as she hurtles through the atmosphere, is still jaw dropping in it's intensity.  Heck, the entirety of the scenes between Anna stalking John like a predator, to the point the nukes detonate produces a season

Actually there was a prior CGI mix up, where a fury is showing doing a strafing run on the Churchill, only for it to cut away to show the shaking bridge of the Alexander, which is what might have confused Rowan.  There were so many CGI shots to do that the episode was only handed in to be shown a couple of hours

The last two seasons of BSG, and the ending in particular, are so dire I can't re-watch it.  No matter how good some of the early episodes were, if you know what's coming down the track, there's little or no re-watch value, beyond trying to pin point where it all went to crap.

Interesting tidbit - the guy putting out the fire in C&C was apparently a stunt guy putting out the fire for real, because the set caught fire from all the sparks.

Severed Dreams is just a much a tragedy in my books as it is a kick arse space battle.  Even in the last few seconds you kind of hoped someone would pull something out of the bag, and that EA ships wouldn't fire on B5 and her supporting destroyers, and so when the shit the fans and those thunderbolts open up, you

The cut away to the sight of the Churchill in a mass of flames, hull holed in multiple places and starting to list gave me goosebumps.  The final exchange between Ryan and Hiroshi is truly heartbreaking, especially when Ryan realises what Hiroshi plans…

My favourite has always been:

"That favor ends up being the destruction of an entire Narn cruiser. " made me snort a little in amusement, considering what's coming up…

If only for the ending to Season 4. Good god is that sucker punch to the gut.

Everyone join the conga line of B5 happiness!

Everyone join the conga line of B5 happiness!

…reviews would be lovely.  Damn it, we need to get to Severed Dreams before I hit 60.
