Somebody already said this but it needs to be reiterated - we haven't even gotten to the shootout in the woods yet.

That final scene was as close to Grand Theft Auto that TV or film can get.
Come to Toronto dammit.
Would you apply the same logic to movies? i.e going to see a movie based solely on the title? That's sort of where I'm coming from I guess. But you do make a very good point, I'll have to try that starting next episode.
"It was all the same dream. A dream that had you inside a locked room. That dream about being a person. Then like a lot of dreams it had a monster at the end of it."
Isn't there a Roy "Big Country" nelson in the UFC?
Was there a preview for the next episode? I must have missed it.
I liked this show better when it was a sitcom instead of a melodrama with lesser, and worse jokes
The gimmicky episodes are getting kind of old. They worked when they were more subtle, like the first two seasons (conspiracy theories, pulp fiction, science of illusion). Here's hoping they don't feel the need to do more paintball or a part 2 to this mess of an episode. Apart from the gimmicky-ness, Troy's farewell…
Did they not specifically state this on the show?
That 70s show…
Yeah, fuck Lena Dunham and her photoshops!
The one question I have after this episode is why the 2012 detectives are more interested in Rust.
Some notable things from watching for a second time:
- That little girl that waves to Cohle is most likely the ghost of his dead daughter
- In the interview scenes Cohle refers to the assailant they caught in 95 as a male
- Cohle goes off the grid in 2002, presumably after his fight with Marty, and resurfaces in 2010
-…
McConaughey said on Late Night that he signed on after reading the scripts for two episodes. I would have signed on after one…
Totally forgot about this part. Could be…
Can't wait for the sequel 'Transcendence' when all the AIs turn on humanity. Seems like a Terminator 3 rip-off to me.
Sadly, I think Paul only escaped the Beatles' shadow because kids don't know who the Beatles are anymore.
alright alright alright
I think they're being interviewed in the same room, with Rust and Marty opting to sit on different sides of the same room.
