I think that he's best when he has someone to play off of/with. A lot of his jokes and humor are kind of more based on old-timey vaudeville type humor, and he can get pretty blue with the material. I've found him to be more entertaining on people's podcasts than by himself, though.

Looking back at the good 80's comedies I still hold fast to the fact that the perfect length for any comedy movie is exactly 96 minutes. Seems to be the typical length of most good comedies.
