Sly and the Family Stone. Not only one of the records I've owned since I was a kid but enjoyable every time.

Actually you need the rule of trilogies: First film will be the lead up to when he is ready to make the kessel run. The second film will end on a down note as he makes it in 13 parsecs. The trilogy ends with the climactic moment when he completes the Kessel run in 11.99 parsecs.
I still find myself singing the "Hike Up Your Pants" song from Daddy-O.
That popped into my head as well.
I was going to say that too. Of course, unless you are a dad and have a son it's easy to not get. Once that kid comes this song totally takes on a new life.
I can confidently say that I bought it new. Probably from Josh.
I always refer to "The Seldom Seen Kid" as an example of what a perfectly put together album is.
'Sinatra' is one of my favorites. What an epic jam.
The Posies did a great cover of that song on one of their outtakes/unreleased compilations.

As much as I love Wrigley and the Cubs, I would make an argument that PNC park in Pittsburgh is the best park in baseball. Just gorgeous all around.

I have a few Mitch Hedberg discs which are worth listening to once in a blue moon.
Same here, same time. Only a few exceptions to the 1-3 dollar prices. I actually sold the rare self-titled Tripping Daisy CD for $50 thanks to it being out of print and unavailable on digital at the time.
Yeah, but one Cars album has a lot more quality than the entire Car Seat Headrest catalog. The production makes Pavement sound like Alan Parsons.
Yeah, but Car Seat Headrest would logically be a great opener. Full circle.
Because….'merica. Nothing but tops.
None of those would exist if it wasn't for Marvin, though.
Everyone talks about their hits. They have a bunch of deep cuts that just kick total ass.
I still say that if you really listen to just the guitar on Infinity and Evolution it is possibly the loudest you can hear a guitar played on record. Listen to when the guitar comes in on "Patiently" and you'll hear what I mean. Natural loud overdrive at its finest.
Bosstones early stuff is great. Pre-radio hits.
