The self titled Verve Pipe disc that came out after Villians is actually pretty good. The first half of it is extremely strong. Also it is lacking of any "Freshman"-style songs, therefore it pretty much led to not selling very many copies. That's what bands like that got for trying to "up their game" on a followup.

Like a lot of Soderbergh films, I spent the majority of the movie going "I don't know if this is good or boring or what" and then after it ended i was of the "That was a great movie" mindset.

I was going to write a comment but then I saw an ad just to the right of this with a large-chested woman in a too-small T-shirt and I lost all rational thought for the time being….

I really think the show became much better when they became more centered around JVDB, actually. He and Luther have really made the show for me.

Hijack of hijacked thread:  I just watched the Bones Brigade movie/doc on netflix….I never really watched Rodney Mullen do his thing in the past, but holy balls! I've become intrigued by him. You see him talking in the movie and it's like he's nutty, but then you realize that he just fits the mold of "tortured artist"…

Caught the sunday ep right before I watched the newest one. If anything watching a (what I presume would have aired early in) season 1 episode followed by this one definitely shows the growth and improvement this show has made.

Until I got over the halfway point of the headline I swear I thought it was going to say "Rapper Chief Keef jailed for possession of marijuana". Not kidding on this one.

Too bad the human trafficking charges for Death Cab for Cutie never came to fruition.

The only thing that comes close to the utter blandness of Sammy Hagar in music is Paul Rodgers. I cringe when one of his many boring band's songs comes on the radio.

Eddie VanHalen is the singer. Why else would the band be called Van Halen. Like Hootie and the Blowfish, Hootie is the singer.
