Minerva-wise: I didn't really get what the point was (about the only female inspector being the only bad one) beyond winding Britta up and giving her an excuse to buy a specific t-shirt to reinforce her outspokenness about sexism. Was "Remember that Britta is into activism" a needed statement in the episode?

Curly Wurlys are real. They're basically caramel covered in chocolate. The caramel isn't the runny sort you get in most things though. It's a bit more solid like a soft fudge texture I guess. It's been a few years since I had one so this might not be totally accurate or up to date.
