The government town aspect is real, no question. It's a smallish city in a great big land mass. It makes it harder to do things casually.

I've lived in Chicago,Milwaukee and Ottawa. Ottawa is kind of staid, imo. Beautiful town, with tons of parks and Centretown is great. But if you crave adventure, your options are limited.

I saw Yes in 1979, in the round. They played for about 3 hours, it was an amazing show on every level. So when tickets went on sale for their next tour, 6 months later, my friends and I hopped on them, even though the actual concert was months later than the sale.
