"Essentials" is portable, anyhow. I should give the DVDs which cover an entire title from the 1960s to the modern day another try, but I'll admit to some annoyance with load times. (Such laziness, I know… but it's about the difference between then and now.)

Here I was afraid that you were asking for a modern remounting of this film. Then again, given the Tuesday Buzzkill re: Universal's woes, there may be a chance…

Not so much WHO as WHERE - Pixar's new mature imprint which will provide fans with all the tricky-to-adapt-to-film features you could desire. I'm guessing this is where most classic works of fiction [particularly speculative fiction] would finally get their due - "Ringworld," "Snow Crash," "The Forever War," and so

Sheltie - Good call on "Fatherland," it's ruddy marvelous, as was "The Years of Rice and Salt."

Liverwurst rocks. Bite me.

After a few seasons of this show, I'm watching for:

I've only been to Whistler once, but it seemed pretty cool - and it would likely be a tonne better in the winter. The only problem's that the $250,000 prize would probably have you toeing the poverty line instead of comfortably set.

"Lisa needs braces!"

The wages were a huge eye-opener, that's for sure.

Blasmo and others on comic book histories:

I'm also looking forward to more in this series.

I've only missed out on "Die Another Day" - and I'm pretty much okay with this state of affairs, from what I've heard.

He just seemed like such an excellent fellow in the show - and, oddly enough, he played the most "human" character out of the bunch. The day is definitely a little darker.

"With an ending you'll have to see to believe…" - a little more "Hell's Kitchen," no?

I won't be too surprised if a few of the jokes turn out to be hints of some sort, though I haven't the faintest which could be which.

Coming soon - "The Dirty Dozen: Se(a)g(a)(e)(u)l(l) Edition," with all your favorite Se(a)g(a)(e)(u)l(l)s! Including a score by A Flock of Seagulls! A script by Richard Bach, author of "Johnathan Livingston Seagull"! And so, so much less than you could possibly imagine!

At least they mention "Out of Sight," but he barely does. It's a shame, as he's excellent there.

Yeah, they did - at the bottom of page one, yes?

…but I forgot to add that my all-time fave is still "Let Down" from "OK Computer." There's nothing that makes me smile like that song.
