There's been some jackoffs making comments on the internet but the backlash is somewhat deserved for making yet another generic looking collection of recent blockbuster clichés and stamping some franchise's name and logo on it for name recognition instead of actually doing something, anything interesting with it.. I'm

Everything I've seen about this film, including the clincher of the trailer, makes this thing look like a mess. The ghosts look like tests for CGI in that live action Scooby-Doo movie from like, 15 years ago or whenever, or monsters from a Gamecube title.

BTW, did anyone here hear about the live theatrical show that came out in Japan last year, based on Ghost in the Shell: Arise - subtitled, of course Ghost Is Alive - it's not the first stage show based on another media property in Japan:

Everything about this project, including the trailer looks totally underwhelming.
Plus the trailer ends on a "that's gonna leave a mark" joke. Just…oof.

Oh, the furries have been all over this for quite awhile now.as chronicled elsewhere

Manborg is like a merging of the most bizarre elements from the cheapest post-apocalypse, martial arts, action, and videogame movies, as found on the shelves of the corner video store which stocked any crazy old film on their shelves, as produced by a group of people crazy enough to make their film on the monthly

So this will be to The Next 100 Years sort of like what Future War 198X sort of was to Hackett's The Third World War, I thinking.

Say what you will about the use of obvious red dye to stand in for blood in Shaw Bros. films, it certainly does the job better than digi-squibs of today.

Yes, delete your apps. All of your apps. ALL OF THEM.

NASA doesn't want people to know the Terrible Secret of Space.

My favorites among the recent clips they've showcased were

Oh, it's very localized. Much like most people have never heard of Newfoundland's box-office animated smash about a family that bonds over baby seal clubbing, "Goin' Clubbin'"

More disconcerting, the soundtrack includes a Kidz Bop cover of "Coven at Charing Cross".

Well, there was Gilbert Gottfried's joke around that time about how if what Pee-Wee Herman did in that theater was a crime, then "I should be on Death Row!"

The Martian's "humor" was among the worst elements of it, that sort of corny, forced low-rent Sci-Fi TV show humor all throughout. Overall I felt like I was watching a movie based on a script that was written and preapproved by Reddit goons and the sort of people who go on Facebook and Tumblr to let the world know

Oh wow Simpsons quotes in AV Club comment section. That's cool.
"Are you being sarcastic, dude?"
I don't even know anymore.
