Go to hell. Twice.

The tone of this article and the response to original commenter makes Nathan look like an insufferable douche. Seriously, I dont know who pissed in your coffee this morning but the entire article is pretty disdainful, couched by words like "I 'hated' Chris Farley (but actually I still do)."

I tend to agree (as opposed to just agree). Youth is the last word I would use to describe that photo.

Glad NPH has gainful employment and is not reduced to sex work at the local bathhouse
….

Thanks, I saw the LP cover at the place I used to work but never put it on. BTW, I worked at one of the coolest places an audiophile could ever work…I even made a movie about it!

I smell Microsoft fanboy.

I know others here hate it
But I totally get my geek groove on whenever the Narrator's theme song comes up at the beginning.

Yeah, but that's no choice at all.

Cheap Trick FTW, but I can't really get into anything other than that track and "Want You To Want Me." I keep trying to give the Greatest Hits an honest listen but I can't help but get bored.

That article had at least 12 words that Paris couldn't in a million years define.
And this makes me sad.

oh man *grabs side* I just destroyed my keyboard by spitting out the Sunny D in my mouth. Oh, and yes: Sunny D is awesome.

All my friends like this, so it's probably fucking terrible. I need new friends.

-Drink gasoline…douse shirt with excess.
-Sit atop a stack of 20 propane tanks
-Open the valve of the one closest to you.
-Light your gasoline soaked shirt.
-Wait.
-Blow up.

"he doesn't add anything that's not already in his script. just a decent craftsman."

Don't give them ideas. Next thing you know they'll be writing 5,000 word primer articles on individual 3 minute songs.

I think Gran Torino has gotten a bad rap too. Thirty years from now people will say it probably wasn't the perfect way to go out, but that it felt "right" …a sort of soft summary paragraph to his storied career.

My short reply might undercut your very thoughtful reaction, but I recently bought the anniversary Dirty Harry DVD and agree 100%.

I really think that working with Sergio Leone was the best thing for "Filmmaking Eastwood" … I wouldn't put him with Altman, but Scorsese, maybe. If you look through Marty's work you find about just as much repetition of themes and falling back on old tricks than Eastwood.
