I see what you mean. However, I've enjoyed it from the beginning. Even if you weren't able to suspend your disbelief, the characters were interesting and hilarious. Alice was my favorite. Although, I know everyone likes Buck. He's great too. And John Corbett has such a warm quality that it makes the family seem

Next time, see a chiropractor for that.

That would actually make sense.

I'm sorry
I still think that FOTC are/is ten times wittier and musical…. and versatile.

Another thing that doesn't make sense..

The character "Gimme" was particularly over the top (although creepy and hilarious at the same time.)

"Classic throwback" or not, he looks good.

Why does it matter??
I mean, really. His album could suck and I'd still enjoy looking at him.

Ah, the eighties….

They are open minded and have, I think, an unusual world view and creative process. They are also extremely brilliant and tremendously nerdy (with a dash of geek.) Perhaps that's why their music was so different . I have always loved their songs.

nerdy
"But "nerdy?" I don't even think that they're wrong. It's just not our intention."

What is wrong with playing yourself? What else are you going to draw on but parts of yourself and your perception of the world?
