I just want a documentary on where they find all the old people they use. What's their story? Do they understand this show at all?

Let's make a conspiracy that Frozen is based on the bible and Elsa is Jesus while we're at it. It's the internet, if you mention a Disney movie someone will put it on Buzzfeed or Great Job Internet.

Every single article he's in someone creates a discussion about whether or not he's a douchebag. I know, I've been checking.

Oh wait, it wasn't Emmy Cicierega, was it? I completely forgot that I have her autograph, but she's also a friend of a friend. She's pretty swell!

June Lockhart, the mom from the original Lost in Space, signed a baseball for me.

I need to catch up on old ScaryGoRound because I'm in awe of him with Bad Machinery and Learning to Fly. He is so talented at making nearly every page laugh-out-loud funny and still progressing the story and staying true to the characters.

Kelly Link retweeted a joke of mine a few weeks ago and I thought I was going to cry from being so deliriously happy. It was just a TWEET but she has that kind of affect on me.

I will follow Alessandro Barbucci wherever he goes. Nothing else he's done is as good as Skydoll, and I confess to having been into WITCH longer than anyone over 12 should simply because he created it, even if he dropped out after the first few issues. I used to treat my hardcovers of Skydoll like a bible as a teen

I know I should hate him on principle, being an indie comic artist, but damn it, he's like a small child who traced Garfield in the newspaper and then walked up to adults showing the drawing and repeating "No, I made this, his name is Fartfield the cat!!!" It's borderline precious in its naiveté.

Well, for one I'd say this art style has distant roots in Disney while Seconds draws more from manga. When I say more recent indie stuff, I'm thinking Faith Erin Hicks, Jen Wang, Lucy Knisely, Skydoll (maybe a little old for the "recent indie" comparison), Vera Brosgol, and a number of webcomics out there.

That and the Spider Gwen style. I mean, I still LIKE them, they're not awful, but they share so much in common with classic comic book styles. I see where they're trying to take a few steps in different directions, but in comparison Batgirl is so different.

A moron? Great. And heeeeere comes the misogyny.

Even as far as taste goes, yes, if I was Batgirl this is the kind of costume I'd pick to wear.
I don't know, I think a lot of people's emphasis on the vapidity of our generation is stupid. She was partying- just like people in the 90s, and 80s, and 70s… And she uses a cell phone! Wow! She must be a stupid girl

The overwhelming response I've seen to the new Batgirl outfit that you all hate is that girls LOVE it. I've never seen so much cosplay for a thing that hasn't even come out yet. So, y'know, maybe you're not the primary audience. And the art style? I find it so much more appealing than anything else on this page

The artist has been drawing that way far longer than since Seconds came out??? While it may not be completely visible to you, in a lot of indie comics circles (which Bryan Lee O'Malley comes from) that's pretty common now. I mean, it's a "Seconds copycat" in that it follows a lot of current trends in general?

EXACTLY. Have you ever seen anyone in real life run in heels? If the heel doesn't snap, you end up with a sort of simpering fast tiptoe run. With the martial artist mentioned above, I imagine she wouldn't do as much running and jumping as the average superhero would, even if it did help her fight.

I got infected sores EVERYWHERE from college bed bugs, could barely sit from the worst ones for a week or so, and 2 left lasting scars. I agree, no fucking around with bed bugs.

I normally find that even if I start a big project and never quite finish, while I'm disappointed in myself at first, a bit later I'm usually proud that I gave it a shot at all and got as far as I did.

I'm very slowly getting back into commenting. Anyway, I spend all my free time drawing comics (among other things) and you can read them here:

I hadn't seen any discussions in the comments about any of his views or feminism in the comments when the SJW comment was slung, it was about all the arguments over his ego and how unlikeable he is. I'm not saying he's never had SJW responses, just that branding the discussions in this section up to that point as
