I'm mildly excited for this new book, but WOW, a 27 volume story about a girl and a cat called the familiar?  That sounds like it has the potential to be mind-blowing.  Or overworked and awful.  But I'm hoping it's the former.

It's good.  Fantastic.  I could take or leave the Johnny Truant bits, so if I'm rereading it I'll usually skip him, but you need to read them the first time at least.
I think the story hook comes pretty early on, so hopefully it won't take much longer for you to really get into it.
