Brilliant mistake

It's best, in the name of sanity, to ignore any techno babble on these shows (remember the "cold things emit in UV" nonsense on the flash?). My eyes rolled hard when they implied that alpha emissions would make it easier to find. I mean, you could detect them, when you were an inch away and could just ID the device on

I thought the "specialist's" speech about Quentin was inserted specifically to underline how not-special he was, in case anyone was wondering. He's only chosen in the sense that he's a necessary cog in the machine/time-line.

I thought the same thing. Trish, Pam and Hope look a lot alike to me.

I think letting Major think he's losing his mind goes beyond "a bit more frustrating" and straight into fucking evil. Besides undermining Major's sense of self and his ability to trust his instincts (something pretty necessary when in danger), there's a high likelihood that someone checking himself into an institution

I don't agree, but I think you need to be emotionally honest, even if that means saying "Yeah, something is going on with me, but I'm not ready to talk about it (or I can't talk about it)"

Except that could easily happen now. How would anyone know that she knows? And she's even more vulnerable because she doesn't know to protect herself from Wells.

Her gave her a reasonable lie. Good for her for sensing she was being bullshitted yet again.

It hasn't been explained to her more than once, it's never been explained to her at all, not truthfully. Even Barry's convo about police manpain was more gaslighting.

But that was a total lie (ANOTHER total lie), Eddie isn't keeping a secret from Iris because of PTSD, he's keeping it at Barry and her father's insistence. He's not coming clean, he's doubling down on the gaslighting. I'm not going to knock Iris for sensing that this is 100% bullshit.

I hate the writers, not Iris. Eddie's fucking gaslighting her, and her father is infantalizing her. Eddie should at least be up front about not being able to tell her something. She knows she's being lied to at an early point in their relationship, even when she tells him straight up that it's not OK. She's right to

Exactly, Eddies not even saying "There's a secret I can't tell you, please trust me." He's saying "I don't have a secret at all."

She didn't have a chance after she saw that salmon ladder.
