I just need to take a second guys, and just get this out.

I wouldn't even call it fan service, honestly. It was clear to me, and I think to the rest of the fandom, that the door was closed on the darkest timeline when Jeff defeated Evil Abed by taking the high road (as I type this, I realize just how weird season 3 got). I don't understand why they would go back to that well

I think this is one of the better episodes of the season, so I'm a little confused by the grade. I'd give it a B+.

They were throwing names out. I think they were going to vote Andrea until Erik pointed out that there was still a chance one of the guys might not play the idol.

@avclub-a1967e6de4ca99fb2635d94b99453928:disqus I'm just teasing. He did a good job tonight, I wont argue that whatsoever. And, in the end, he got exactly what he wanted out of it, so good for him. I'd love to see him flip over to the bro alliance.

Erik said at the beginning of the episode that he couldn't wait to get rid of Fillup. Seemed like he saw the opportunity and jumped on it.

Given the opportunity for more Tribal Councils like this one, I can absolutely see the producers putting both idols back in play.

No, there's a tie between Malcolm and Phillip if they load onto Eddie.

I know, and it made me facepalm as she was saying it. I SO wanted this to be the Season of Brenda. She freaking rocked in her original season.

Yeah, but Lisa was far more likeable and less paranoid than Dawn.

I think that is what they did though. The group went with Phillip because it suited them to do so, and nobody was interested in him blowing up if they went against him. So far his 'calls' have been pretty unanimously backed anyway, so it's not like he's way out in left field as to who he wants to vote out.

Lol, I'm sorry, I just don't think Erik knows why he does anything. It's a miracle he remembers to get dressed in the morning.

The problem with that is they were going to split the vote 4-3, so Malcolm would have tied with Phillip and been booted during the re-vote. By making his idols known, his hope was to sway the jury to vote for one of their own. He knew he didn't accomplish that, so he played the idol. Nobody expected Erik to vote for

What makes you think Brenda has a shot at winning? Didn't she just get her first or second talking head this week?

I think his intention in showing the idols was to suss out whether he could get away with not playing them by convincing the larger alliance to vote for each other.

I think Malcolm should get the points. And I'm completely unbiased.

But… his name is Fill Up….

Aaaand once again Malcolm masterminds a truly great Tribal Council moment. Early on in the season I was worried he would remain in the background, considering how little coverage he got, but man, when that guy steps up, he steps up in a big way. I only hope he can continue miraculously finding idols and/or winning

@avclub-c156902f5b20b572848be18c11634dfb:disqus Living in Canada I guess I never heard about a lot of shootings, unless they were big enough to make national/international news, like Columbine.

@avclub-c156902f5b20b572848be18c11634dfb:disqus No matter what has happened since, every time I hear the words "school shooting" the news footage of the kids coming out of Columbine with their hands on their heads flashes through my mind. Terrible things have happened since, but there's just something incredibly
