No, I meant all along. Annie's one of my faves too (my heart lives with Jeff, but Annie's right up there), and I just want them to respect her plotlines. We found out in season 2 that she was abandoned by her mother during her hour of need, and they've NEVER touched it since. They have her casually mentioning family

No, but I was waiting impatiently for Janie's Got a Gun.

There was a half a season where this show was genuinely wonderful and a joy to watch. Then the next half of that season and possibly even the first half of the next season skated by on the fumes left over from the first half of the first season.

Really? I knew it was Becky as soon as Sue copped to it.

Okay, here's the thing…. on another show, or even another incarnation of Glee, this episode could have been really moving and important. If they put in the effort to make us love these characters, to give them rational, realistic plot lines, to make them "people", not just archetypes on screen… then yeah, this could

I think it all depends on who the person is. For example, Troy's story was theoretically the worst, but it was such a long time ago that it barely matters anymore. Jeff's story seems minor, but if you consider his thoughts on his dad, it's incredibly poignant.

The writers have never, ever given Annie any semblance of respect, from the very beginning. That said, this is pretty much a new low.

And yet, I bet we're going to care a lot more that Shirley once forgot her kids at the grocery store than the Glee club getting shot up.

Hell, I was mumbling "Kiss!" to them during that scene.

If I was Jeff I would have been very skeptical about sticking my hand in that puppet.

I really did like this episode, although it was not without its issues. Mostly, I liked that they had a chance to just be "friends" and help each other. The Jeff/Shirley interaction was lovely, as their friendship has long been one of my favourite things about this show. I also really loved just watching Troy/Donald

Why? Genuine question. I've never been able to stand the guy - not in a love-to-hate way, just in a "Wow, you're a really irritating human being" way.

Do you really think they'd bring back Hatch after what went down with Sue in Heroes vs. Villains? Seems like he kind of burned his bridges there.

Or, alternately, the season of just people who came in second. I think that would be interesting, because at that point, they're all so freakin' hungry for a win that they might just do anything.

@CountBulletsula:disqus I was gonna say, Lisa and her brother, with their weirdly non-sibling-like relationship might be interesting… if a little uncomfortable for everyone to watch.

It was, but I signed a contract that says I have to help people through their transitional period. It's all very technical.

I actually think that would be pretty cool.

@avclub-d9c9a056f6052ffbfa3526be3478d45e:disqus I don't think Malcolm's opposed to being aligned with "weak" people - he was with Lisa last year, and he stayed well away from the bro alliance. I think his logic was sound when he thought about aligning with the bigger guys this season - among all of the big fish, he's

Lol, I had this exact thought when that happened. At that point I didn't even care who won because I was just so happy his superpower failed him, just this once.

Which is such a bummer, because she was easily my favourite person in her original series. She's just not in on the scheming this time around.
