DC Universe, I want your MARRIAGE! - Geoff Johns
No, but seriously, the sooner they tell me how this affects Grant Morrison's Batman run, the lesser I rage about this.

Send it in care of the Sunday Mission, Box No. 10
There have been more than a few days where I've cursed the skies for taking away Jim Croce in a plane crash at age 30. He'd already written 20-something songs that I love, and dude was just starting to hit his stride commercially, and then bam, gone. I doubt he'd still…
While we're representing for women on guitar
From this same concert, I've gotta give it up for Titus Andronicus' Amy Klein doing her best Bob Stinson on "Kids Don't Follow":

The song is much more their speed than was "Birdhouse in Your Soul".
The bit about people being bigger on the inside just about slayed me. I especially liked that the Doctor got to turn it around on House at the end, about how small he/it was. Nice work, that.
Fee fi fo fum, I smell Kraft Dinner
I understand that it's not a popular opinion, but "Not Without My Anus" has always been one of my favorite South Park episodes, and I literally yelped aloud when I saw Ugly Bob on the bus with Ike. I was also glad to see Scott upgraded from "Dick" to "Giant Dick". I agree with those…
Jennifer Love Fefferman
Few things would make me happier than Boy Meets World finally taking over Saved by the Bell as a cultural touchstone. It's not the 00's anymore. I've been waiting years, and if I never again hear the phrase "I'm So Excited" followed by "I'm so scared!", it'll be too soon. Cory and Topanga beat…
Daisy Steiner wins.
Daisy's Tekken speech to Tim in "Ends" is one of my favorite bits of television ever. So often things don't get said in the name of keeping a friendship, and it's a genuine thrill to see someone spill out what needs to be said, knowing the damage that likely will come.
I like the concept of "Best Oscar"
I also miss the audio podcasts, for the clunkier theme music. About halfway through the video, my brain imagined the melody to The Office theme over this video's music, and once I heard it, I couldn't stop hearing it.
Speaking of dark periods
Those are some awfully phallic Mr. Rude animatrons in that video right there.
@PoseyHipster, you are most correct. I am always disappointed when it's news about Julian Assange and not Joe Jackson.
That New Year's Eve show at the Keswick was a beast. I remember getting restless during the second movie, but then being tired and silly enough to really enjoy the last one. There was one particular "BANG!" riff that I pull out in conversation to this day. That said, I was excited enough to see DGA (and, of course,…
I just remember being shocked that Mr Pool from Sabrina the Teenage Witch had a tv show. He's directed for a lot of great shows since, as well.
I had thought that Down by the Water was a straight up rewrite of Springsteen's The River, with the melody on the "Knock me down…" line being the biggest tell. Colin Meloy got Mary pregnant, and man, Down by the Water was what he wrote.
Grown Ups
I didn't see that movie, but had hoped that it ended up being about Sandler, Rock, Spade and Schneider killing Kevin James and using his hollowed out husk to reanimate Chris Farley. Your review suggests that this was not the case, so I don't think I'll end up seeing it.
NOBODY knows the wreck of the CAPS LOCK the way you do, VanDerWERFF.
Fly to carry each his burden. Young despite the years, hope despite the times…
I love that y'all have suggested some that I'd suspected, and some I'd not. Either way, I'm excited to research all of them. I nearly hate to be the one to suggest them, but 2011 looks to be an R.E.M. year, with their Collapse into Now…
Document
I love that your staff has numerous differing opinions on the subject. You've got ones that I'd expected, and ones that I'd not have expected, and I look forward to researching both. I nearly hate to be that guy, but I realize that they don't tour often anymore, and I'd put forth R.E.M. in Summer 2011 as an…
I cannot be reading too much into this
The "Middle of the day" joke is nice and subtle, but I lost my stuff at Edith's line about it being a long time to be going over two B's and an A. Well done, 70's writing staff.
Watching The Simpsons Movie in theaters, I was struck by how moved I was from them using that song. It hit me all at once how uniquely successful The Simpsons is, that it could make a feature film referencing a 16 year old episode while the series was still running on television. Obligatory reference to a latter day…
Rabin, you're pranging out
I 100% don't understand why 'the world' was disappointed with The Streets' third album. Mike Skinner had always written about what his life was like. He was suddenly living large, struggling with drugs, women and con jobs in dog parks, so he wrote about that, and people freaked the fuck out.…
