"Safe European Home" is possibly my favorite album-opening song of all time. Rope is such a great album. "Cheapskates" is great too - essentially providing the blueprint for 95% of Rancid's output.

I had a passing familiarity with Talking Heads for most of my life and picked up the CD when Rhino (I think) re-issued it a few years ago and I think it's the best introduction I could have to their deeper stuff. 'Love=>Building on Fire' is my personal favorite off that album.

We recently upgraded to a minivan. We bought a used on that has an XM subscription. I don't know how long it will last, I haven't paid anything on it, but I'll probably renew just for the Underground Garage. It's a goddamn national treasure.

Oh indeed. Forrest Gump was the first movie I saw in which I was fully aware of a soundtrack being used to manipulate my emotions as a viewer. I felt really smart as a 17-year-old. I liked the movie okay, but it hasn't held up.

Don't forget CCR's "Fortunate Son."

Is that Jonathon Banks' character?

That may very well be the case. Part of me takes some stupid pleasure in having that cultural blind spot, but I may get around to giving it a try.

But my brothers wouldn't stop giving me grief if I end up liking it and have to admit they were right about BB.

My brothers and friends hate me for this (well, I'm willing to admit I may be hated for other reasons), but I just don't care at all about Breaking Bad. I watched the first episode when it appeared on Netflix Instant, but couldn't be bothered to go further.

I feel like I have pretty good taste in TV, but I just

I got an SCTV notification for this?

My name is Doris / I'm carrying the wheel.

Nope, but he was in that Nebraska movie.

He's on a collision course with wackiness!

I don't care for the shoestring style either. I'll give it a try, but we've already got some good spots for burgers with Burger Me, The Nugget and then there's In-N-Out.

This. Please someone make this happen. EVERYTHING.

We just got one of those in Reno. I haven't been, is it any good? I guess it's more of a MidWest thing?

Ha, I'm at the exact same spot and feeling. I tried about a dozen times to beat O&S and then just put the game down about 6 or 7 months ago and I keep meaning to pick it up again and try.

I'll probably just play some Lego Star Wars with the kiddos.

Cool, I like Scott Campbell's stuff.

When drilling into a human skull, I prefer the Miluakee 2601-20 M18. Miluakee beats the tar outta Makita or DeWalt. But obviously, get yourself some good carbide drill bits. Oh, and have someone on hand to flush the area with water - that ground bone dust can really mess the whole operation up.

I thought it was an uncoupling or some other new-agey bullshit term.

It's Dr. Demento!
