It'd only be a problem if you didn't.
It'd only be a problem if you didn't.
They talked about god, but that just means the characters are religious. That's a bit different from the show confirming that their religion is true.
That's assuming you WANT to keep the human race going indefinitely. Personally, I'd have no problem if everyone in the world just stopped having children. All our concerns about conserving resources become much simpler if you only need to sustain human civilization for another eighty to a hundred years.
I'd say DC was operating in good faith when they signed the contract: Watchmen's enduring popularity and the changes in how comic books are sold aren't things they could have predicted.
So do you think James Joyce shouldn't have written Ulysses, since it cheapens Homer's original The Odyssey?
So is anyone else gonna point out that we didn't actually SEE Mallory and Cyril find Ellis Crane dead? It wouldn't be the first time Mallory killed someone and pretended to merely be a witness to the act.
It's not like DC knew how popular Watchmen trades were going to be, either. Seems like DC getting to hold onto the Watchmen rights was a matter of dumb luck rather than malicious intent.
I don't quite get why Alan Moore's Watchmen contract is supposed to be exploitive. As I understand it, the deal was that DC would retain the rights to Watchmen for as long as they kept it in print. This seems like a reasonable "use it or lose it" clause, ensuring that DC only keeps the property so long as they keep…
During the hostage situation, I'm surprised Adama didn't ask Sesha, "How do I know YOU'RE not a Cylon? Maybe you want the Cylon prisoner because you're on some sort of rescue mission."
Well, the more technically accurate statement would be "no GOOD reason", but if you just say "no reason", most people will twig what you mean.
I thought Angels & Demons was pretty decent, actually.
I don't see how this goes against that. If Sara had stayed, she would have gotten her father killed, but that just means that Quentin Lance ALSO doesn't matter as far as the future is concerned.
Which ended up not working at all, and actually HELPED Savage become a world conquering dictator. So maybe he has a point about leaving this one alone.
Rip mentioned in an earlier episode that he repeatedly tried to save Miranda and Jonas from Savage, going back a little earlier each time to try and get it right, and each time they still got killed anyway. It's the "Time wants to happen" thing.
ALIE said 96% of the Earth's surface would be uninhabitable in six months. Maybe Season 4 will be about a mass exodus to find the remaining 4%.
Phase 2 was taking the City of Light to Polis.
I can't remember, when there's the labor strike in Season 3, does Roslin ever reference the labor strikes from this episode's flashback?
Someone's race isn't determined by who their parents were. It's determined by what they look like.
Well, Abby and Jaha are in the same room as that machine Raven built to remove the chip, so they could be saved. Kane and Jasper would be the only main character casualties.
As for what they'd do after that, it could be an opportunity for a back-to-basics reboot. With the main local civilizations dead, they could go…
Well, to be fair, screwdrivers aren't exactly sharp, and Jasper's not exactly the pinnacle of physical strength. Odds are it wasn't able to get very deep.
