I think what you said is pretty tasteless, but I don't understand why people like Monteith, who struggled with drug-use, is given a free pass after he has died, but actors like Charlie Sheen or Lindsay Lohan are tirelessly mocked in the media for similar abuse of drugs? Why is it okay to make fun of the living, which

I just read the review of the film on The Dissolve moments before reading this review. I'm more inclined to side with The Dissolve's review, simply because I can't imagine Dean being a good actor.

He's not talentless, that's not what I meant. What I meant was that he didn't have the talent of West, and hence had a disproportionally large ego.

Ugh. Pretentious, self-indulgent bullshit. I'm cringeing over the comparison to The Master and A Serious Man, which is clearly intentional on Glover's part. The guy used to seem cool and funny, but now he just seems like a guy with the ego of Kanye West but without the talent.

Can it just end after this season? I love the show, but enough is enough. We don't need any more. The show has completely run its course. I'd like if it could go out on a high note.

It's shitty that they're getting rid of Leslie's best friend. They had such a great dynamic, even if Ann wasn't the funniest character on the show.

If I were the Romney campaign, I would just deny watching the show. I don't think they have a taste for hate-viewing, so it must be that they genuinely enjoy the show. And that's just crazy talk.

Brendan Gleeson is Irish, not British.

Is everyone in this thread high? I understand personal preference, but Showtime over HBO? WHAT?

Orphan Black, Orange Is The New Black, The Good Wife and House of Cards all have leading characters that are gay and/or lesbian.

As a straight male, I'm definitely not an expert in this field, but "Weekend" is a really beautiful film and I'd be happy to have another opportunity to dissect it. Also, "Beginners", although primarily tells a straight story, the gay father's story is the back bone of the film.

The last part was sarcastic. It really is a beautiful score though.

It's beautiful and hypnotic and really adds to the romanticism of the sex scenes.

Peter Sarsgaard's penis and passionate male sex with Oscar Schindler all in the one scene.

If you think it starts joyless, you're really not gonna like what comes next.

I don't know about you guys, but Netflix isn't HD for me, and both Top of the Lake and Rectify are the rare types of absolutely beautiful shows that deserve to be seen in HD.

Yeah, but it died, along with Linney's character.

I can't really comment of the quality because I haven't seen the episode yet, but according to this site, both Ray Donavon and Dexter were equally shitty.

I honestly cannot comprehend how pure, honest and beautiful Enlightened was. It was a spectacular examination of what television can achieve. It's sad to see it go, but I genuinely feel privileged to have seen 2 seasons of it. Such quiet, contemplative and measured silences are so rarely seen in any medium. Such rich,

I much prefer the version of Library that's on "to be close to you". The other version sounds much too polished, robbing it of almost all its charm.
