I know you're a troll, but why the disdain for Francis Ha? It's not like everyone on the site is talking about it. It's very rarely mentioned.

1. Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City
2. The National - Trouble Will Find Me
3. Julia Brown - to be close to you
4. Phoenix - Bankrupt!
5. Kanye West -Yeezus
6. Laura Marling - Once I Was an Eagle
7. Mikal Cronin - Mcii

Oh you.

All their shows look shit though. I don't even mean sound like a terrible idea for a show (although some do - Da Vinci's Demons), but they all look so cheap and unmistakably shitty. Even Party Down, which is fantastic, had such a cheap appearance.

I wouldn't take it too seriously that it was omitted. Some other prominent shows that they're developing, like The Leftovers, weren't mentioned either.

*SPOILER*: in the finale, Piper gets high on a mystery drug and all the inmates perform The Jailhouse Tango.

I really love Bon Iver, but that youtube picture for his song makes me want to punch him.

Yes, THAT'S what killed it. Mmm hmm, suuuuuuuuuuure.

I like him, but he was also in Total Recall, Rock of Ages and John Carter. He's a great actor, but not really a solid indication of a movie's merits.

I don't want to generalize, but I feel like even the best studio films nowadays are entirely disposable. They range from great to terrible, but there are so few that I would ever classify as excellent or a classic.

Oh hai @avclub-022199896b1f52952c180b60caa681bd:disqus , your my only customer.

There's really no replacing the cinema experience though. You can say that your TV is huge and that your sitting room is less noisy, but the cinema experience can't be replicated. Films look GREAT on huge screens, with blasting sounds. It completely absorbs you into the world. Comedies and horrors also particularly

That's funny, because lame commenters such as @avclub-0de6dd3e9c3035563f798edb70fd1955:disqus really tend to annoy me.

I'm almost tempted to say that even if the story isn't up to scratch, it's almost irrelevant. It's such a beautiful, horrific film.

I was just about to say that.

Although I really liked The World's End, it's still disappointing. It's so slow to start and the end isn't too great, but that hour in the middle is incredible. If it had stuck the landing, it could have been the best movie of the year. I think it will look good on repeat though.

Tell that to Generic Indie Kid.

I'm almost finished "Freedom", which although great, just hasn't clicked with me as much as The Corrections did.

Irish citizen here. What's so boring? Where exactly does it begin? Our true origins or recent history events that have shaped us as a nation?

I was just about to undertake Inherent Vice, but I feel apprehensive. I don't want to start into it if it's not good. Laziness has overtaken me also.
