Man, that moment between Shirley and her mom. Wow. Honestly, I can't think of a more affecting moment in the history of the show. Her mother looked so regal, and for her to ask how to say what she was feeling in English, getting the pronunciation so all the viewers could understand how she felt about her daughter…I

Huh, I guess I'm in the minority, but I'm loving the show so far. It's hitting a sweet spot for me.

He's been a rising comedian for a few years, so I don't think it's fair to say the Cosby thing is the only reason he got a show. That said, this was the first episode I saw of his show, and it was not good. More to the point, it was bad. Just awkward and not funny. Hope it gets figured out.

" Looking For Alaska may very well be a better work of fiction than Twilight, but to suggest that one is a lesser form of art simply because of its content, or the sex of the author, is ridiculous."

A-A-Ron

I liked this premiere a bit more than Libby. I really liked the addition of the SUDDEN DEATH Quickfire; I thought it definitely added some suspense to the middle of the show. I also couldn't figure out what the fuck the Mexican/Japanese/Kosher guy was doing to those poor clams. Your "technique" is to bang your knife

I felt bad for Marcel in his first season too, but in every other competition show he's been in (and he's been in just about all of them, which is another annoyance) his assholery has shined through. So maybe he actually got a favorable edit on that season.

See Leon, which is the director's cut/Euro release version. I haven't seen this film, but from your description, Leon does deal with somewhat similar themes. I think it's more palatable because it acknowledges the creepiness of the relationship and the lead is forced to make a decision. The movie doesn't dance around

God, I love that line so much. It always makes me giggle. Also (and I apologize for not getting it 100% right): "Irony: like goldy or bronzey, but with iron."

And dogs!

Yes, and because of that, the writers seem to be trying very hard to make them interesting, mostly by making them assholes. It's a curious choice.

Yeah, and the GR master plan was for the police to be distracted so they could break into houses. But it's not like it mattered; they were able to break into houses without anyone even calling the police. Even if there wasn't a distraction, the GR would have succeeded since they're all ninja masters who are trained

I'm starting to remember why I stopped watching Lost. I feel like this show is saying, "Hey, watch carefully, this is IMPORTANT." But they're saying that about everything, and they're not explaining why it's important. It's fine for things to not make sense for a while, but eventually shit has to be explained in order

20 six- and seven-year-olds were slaughtered in their classrooms, along with their teachers; we did nothing, and nothing changed. Why does she think anyone will give a shit about this?

MMMMbop, a-dibby dop-bop mmmbop, a dibby- *nose falls off

It's weird what they cut out of shows. I went to a Kitchen Nightmares shoot and Gordon Ramsay completely shut down the restaurant while we were waiting in line. We had to come back the next night. I figured that would be a big dramatic moment in the show, but it wasn't even mentioned.

So is this show actually good now? I watched 7ish episodes of the first season and thought it was pretty bad. Can I just restart on season 2?

A friend and I got into a somewhat heated debate about Gail vs. Padma. Needless to say, I was on the side of all that is good and holy in the world, aka Gail's enormous tatas.

Oof, bad toasts. Yeah. I went to a wedding a couple of months ago between a couple very different in ages and backgrounds, but extremely similar in genders. In any case, one of the grooms' father works in the theater, and his best man is a copywriter for a PR department. The other groom comes from a working class

Thanks. That was the most stressful part so far, and I had two lenders who now hate me, including the one we went with, because I kept playing them off each other.
