Speaking of notoriously untalented musicians, about 10 years ago, Lookingglass Theater in Chicago produced a stage musical about the Shaggs. I don't think anything ever came of it. I thought it might have made a fascinating movie, at the very least.

I don't think it was mentioned that St. Louis was partially inspired to try that punt deception by my stupid bunch of idiots team the "Bears" a few years ago. It worked, but was called back for holding.
I reserve judgement until I read what Cameron Esposito think of Chris Messina.
Put a sticker on that!
But C.C., how could one be expected to put up with such, oh, I don't know, butchering?
He's not wrong about the U.S. version of Rubber Soul. You can't tell me "I've Just Seen A Face" and "It's Only Love" don't sound just perfect situated where they are on the American version.
Glad to see the first mention of the Bare Trees album. While I'm don't own the record, the song "Bare Trees" used to get played quite a bit on classic rock stations, at least here in Chicago. It's an amazingly catchy and memorable song.
There it was again, Sunday evening. On E! Movies That We Love. I know the Twilight people have tried to claim Clair de Lune as their own, but f—k them, that segment is so lyrically beautiful. Vegas, baby.
You know what I think? Therefore I am.
Yeah, we've got cable, but we do watch a considerable amount using the over-the-air DTV signal. I still don't take for granted how incredible they look. Only problem is, we live near O'Hare, and boy does the screen freeze up when planes fly over.
I'll be the first to go with Sir Paul. Like all of us, he wears me out at times, no doubt, but still, he's my guy. My favorite member from my favorite band. His music, together and apart, has brought me so much joy and comfort for decade after decade. His being around and still vital adds a lot to this ever-changing…
It's Conan's non-ginger older (or younger?) brother.
A couple of Beach Boys-related things I like and recommend are the Wondermints (sorry it seems like they don't make records anymore), and Brian's Gershwin Brothers tribute album.
It helps if you show me where to put my fingers.
Don Post ads in the back of Famous Monsters of Filmland. Oh, how I longed for a Wolfman mask.
Thanks! Put it on my tab.
I was genuinely down the day I aged out of "When I Grow Up." Then I found the unfaded version on one of the boxes, which bought me a few more years. Then, sadly, long ago my tally exceeded the ages enumerated at the end of the song. It's still my favorite "early-ish" Beach Boys track, though.
I stayed up late one night watching Bunny Lake for the Zombies' "appearance," which it turns out is them playing on a TV in the background, right? Young Bucky went to bed disappointed. Start of a trend.
And then Rob sells his idea for a TV show set behind the scenes of a TV show, and Alan Brady (played by in essence the "real" Rob) decides to play Rob in the show!
Did anyone else think Angela Kinsey would also pop up from under the covers in that final scene in Coach's room?
