I think my favorite part of this is that you are apparently suggesting Sonia should become a super hero? Which…

Oh, for sure.

Haven't figured out the petrified lady yet, although I haven't been back there since the first time I went through the area. Interesting to know that you can get past her this quickly. (Although I think I may only have one Great Soul?)

DARK SOULS II PROGRESSION THREAD:
Okay, I've killed two bosses so far (Last of the Giants and that dude in Heide's Tower Of Flame with the halberd), neither of which were super hard. Got the Ring Of Binding which is taking some of the pain out of losing life every time you die. And I've met the Pursuer, briefly,

Yes, you still lose all your souls, and you can get them back if you make it to the spot where you died, but only if you do it without dying again. That mechanic remains exactly the same; can't imagine the game without it.

Well you didn't have to sound so happy about it. :(

O….kay. This sounds like—do you need to talk to someone? Because this sounds like you need to talk to someone.

I've beaten a few bosses, gotten some stuff, enjoying the same worries I always get that I'm upgrading the "wrong" weapons; so far, the biggest differences are the eventual enemy disappearances and the bonfire instant travel. Both are in keeping with one of the basic themes of the game (in that they give you a sense

I'm into this.

Yes! I thought of the same episode while watching this, and it made me like "Remember Me" a lot more in retrospect.

Well, you "called me out" in a way that suggested my "hatred" (whoa, irony quotes) was getting in the way of my reviews. Of course I'd deny that. I still do. I don't think my write-ups were terrific or anything, but they were honest attempts to assess a show that was squandering its potential, and honestly, I was more

I found it very hard to review, in case that wasn't immediately obvious. Overtly terrible and great are easy to write about; so is something that has problems but is trying to make sense of them; "tired" doesn't give you a lot of options.

Man, Noel's reviews were so much better than mine. (In my defense, the show tanked fairly hard after Noel left. But still.) Anyway, this is a great write-up, and I love "Three Stories," even though it always makes me a little sad for what the show might have been.

How the hell is Pynchon not entertaining?

The bullies are pretty well-developed, actually. But otherwise, bang on.

Silence Of The Lambs is a remarkable movie, but one of the things that makes it remarkable is that it comes at the material from a completely different direction. Hannibal is all about awe-inspiring nightmarish visions, set in a dark fantasy world where bodies serve as the medium through which evil minds find their

Those fuckers really do their homework.

I… really need to finish this game. (I didn't stop playing because I didn't like it; it was just so fucking nerve-wracking I got drained after a while.)

I need to share this with people who'll understand my pain: I found out last week that I'd gotten three separate invites to participate in the Dark Souls II beta, and I'd somehow managed to miss all three, so that by the time I realized what was going on, it was too late to do anything about it. The game itself will
